The tubing I used for the extension was not seamless, so first I bored it smooth, then measured it and turned the body of the tap handle about two thousandths (.002 inch) bigger for a VERY tight press fit. After I pressed it in I also drilled a hole through the tubing that matched the hole in the handle body and pressed in a stainless pin. I suppose since there is so much surface area on this fit that you could just use "loctite".
